Hair and Jewellery
To enjoy the full benefit of massage, please allow to let your hair down for treatments, and for your hairstyle to be deconstructed. Oil may also get into your hair. Believe me, it’s worth it! As jewellery can impede the massage as well as be affected by oil, please leave your jewellery at home.
Extra Time
Please allow a little extra time after your massage to recover. Everyone feels the effects of detox differently. These responses are normal, and may include going to sleep or crying. You are in a safe environment and all responses are respectfully accepted at Pixie Well.
Music
While I use Hawaiian style relaxation music, this is by no means compulsory! If you have music you prefer, please mention this, and we can hook your phone to the the speaker with either bluetooth or auxiliary cable. I especially recommend you bring your own music for romi romi!
OFFSITE MASSAGE
Our massage experiences and some of our treatments are available in the privacy of your own location. Regretfully facials are only available at 11 Albany Street. Depending on where you live, there may be an extra cost incurred. Please enquire.
ALLERGENS
Please advise of any allergies to roses, egg, bee products or dairy prior to your appointment. Mask ingredients may vary by season and availability. We would never use any ingredient you did not feel comfortable with.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a very special time in your life. Intense foot reflexology and Romi Romi are contraindicated during pregnancy, however Manual Lymphatic Drainage, gentle slow nurturing massage and Reiki are safe at all times. Haputanga (pregnancy massage) is available after the first trimester.

Pixie Well is a strictly therapeutic massage service, all services are rendered in a professional manner. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service, contribution to our community and our reputation in the wellness industry.
CANCELLATION
We understand plans can change but kindly request for 24 hour notice of cancellations in order to reschedule others from our wait list. Except in cases of dire emergency, you will be invoiced a $20 cancellation fee should less than 24 hours notice be given. Please be aware that cancellations of gift voucher services with less then 24 hours notice will render your voucher null and void.
Please note
Pixie Well is a residential farmlet, and as such there may be hazards such as animals and livestock. While all due care is taken, you enter at your own risk. We respectfully ask you to leave any children at home when visiting the Mataura premises. Gore premises is whanau friendly, bring your partner, bring your mokopuna! All welcome!
